Undeniably Devoted to Dairy
When it comes to caring for the comfort and welfare of dairy animals, Dr. Jeff Brose is undeniably devoted. His passion was sparked early in his career when he helped dairy farm clients with remodel projects. He saw first-hand how he could have a greater benefit to the cow by improving her comfort than spending time on designing vaccination protocols.
Dr. Brose currently serves as Vice President for the Dairy Cattle Welfare Council, an organization that strives to bring together key stakeholders to develop recommended practices on animal well-being, management, husbandry, animal-people interaction, health and productivity.
“At a time when building consumer trust in dairy products is imperative, I hope to continue to grow the organization and interest in dairy cattle welfare,” says Dr. Brose. “I want to help advance dairy cattle welfare by providing sound information and educational opportunities to the people that care for dairy cattle. We can achieve this by bringing together key members of the dairy industry, from producers and veterinarians to academicians, to share their perspectives and promote science-based progress in the wellbeing of dairy cattle.”
Dr. Brose is part of the Cargill Dairy Enterprise Group and leads the Dairy Integrity™ service offering.
