COVID-19 - We are In this Together
Your role is essential to keeping our food supply safe and sustainable and Cargill is here to support you. As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread across the globe, this is an unprecedented time impacting every individual, business and community. We want to reassure you that Cargill is doing everything reasonably possible to minimize business disruptions. As we provide essential ingredients and feed that nourish animals, we are taking this responsibility very seriously and strive to keep our operations – and yours – running.
Our values – do the right thing, put people first and reach higher – are guiding every decision we make, including keeping our production facilities open. We are prioritizing the health and safety of our employees, as they are essential in delivering animal feed to dairy farms across the country.
Please continue to follow the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), including practicing personal hygiene and social distancing. Not much is known about the transmission of COVID-19 between animals and humans, but as a matter of everyday health, it is always a good idea to wash your hands with soap and water after contact with animals to help avoid transmission of more common illness-causing agents, such as E. coli and Salmonella. If you do get sick with COVID-19 (either suspected or confirmed, the CDC recommends restricting contact with your animals, just like you would people. For more information, visit the CDC’s website: What To Do if You are Sick.
As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions. Our main priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the vital industries we serve.
